The SICT Conference bring provides an excellent opportunity for scientists from Europe and from all over the world to meet and discuss the latest advances in surfaces and coatings physics and chemistry, surface engineering/ modification, coatings deposition and functionalisation processes as well as the investigated properties and performances in related innovation fields together experts from various relevant fields. SICT 2025, held from April 23–25 in Algarve, Portugal, alongside our outstanding cluster partners: BIO-SUSHY, PROPLANET, and ZeroF. The “Beyond PFAS” workshop session at the SICT 2025 explored innovative alternatives to polyfluorinated alkyl substances (PFAS) in coatings performed by four sister projects.
